Úvoz, towards Strahovský klášter

17 January. While climbing Úvoz I continually looked to the left over the wall at the configuration of trees below shifting on the hillside, their relative placement and sweeping lines articulating the topography. These "stills" from a sequence whose movement is now only found in memory or imagination.

I recall that I was also looking out for the Galerie Josefa Sudka at number 24, the house where Sudek (1896-1976) lived from 1959 until his death, hoping to see the exhibition Ota Richter: Fotografie z exilu, but, it being on the right-hand side, I missed it, and found myself continuing on to Strahovský klášter.
