28 October. Pražská botanická zahrada, Charles University, is the oldest botanic garden in the Czech Republic. Originally in Smichov, it was moved to its current site on Na Slupi in Nove Mesto in 1898 as it was frequently flooded when the Vltava overflowed its banks.
