19 April. (Compare winter.)
Cardamine pratensis.
Cuckoo Flower, Lady's Smock, Meadowcress.
These floure for the most part in Aprill and May, when the Cuckow begins to sing her pleasant notes without stammering.

When daisies pied and violets blue
And lady-smock all silver white
And Cuckoo-buds of yellow hue
Do paint the meadows with delight.
